A N Shankar has done his B.E (Civil) from SJCE College of Engineering Mysore & M. Tech (Computer Structures) from MCE Hassan. The Author has more than a decade of teaching experience. He has also been actively involved in Civil Consultancy. The Author is presently an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Sustainability Cluster in UPES D. Dun.

Dr. Uday Bhan has been awarded his PhD in 2012, in Earth Science from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies [UPES], Dehradun, India. He completed his M. Tech in Petroleum Exploration from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2009 and M.Sc in Applied Geology from the University of Allahabad in 2006. At present Dr. Uday Bhan is working as a Senior Associate Professor & Program Lead in the Department of Petroleum Engineering & Earth Sciences, UPES. His teaching and research specialization is in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Geochemistry, Atmospheric Pollutants Study and Basin Analysis. He has graduated with two PhD students in the area of Geochemistry of Himalayan Sediments & Water Chemistry. He is an active researcher in these areas: Hydrogeology, Reservoir Characterization, Drilling Fluid, and Atmospheric Pollutants Study of High Altitude. Dr. Uday has published 26+ research papers in peer-reviewed journals, 03 book chapters in his research areas, and supervised 10+ projects for UG & PG students. He is a faculty advisor of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists [AAPG], country coordinator of AAPG, India, and an Ex-Officio member of AAPG, in the Asia Pacific region. Dr. Uday is an active and associated member of many national and international societies [SPE, AAPG, SEG].
