Description
Poetry is a constantly evolving form. Teeing off with his Anthology of Poems, the Poet expresses anguish over imbalances in Society and Nature. A certain playfulness is seen (Nursery Crhymes) apart from Verses, Ballads (Ravana rants) or Haikus (In Shorts.) Some differently metered ones like War-Child chart new course. In the Ocean- themed Sections, the Book opens on a somber note to “Lighthouse” (To the one above) touching on our lack of faith (New Gods) ending with Haikus (In Shorts – I) “Phosphorus” begins with a poignant one (Manimal). “Ocean” is vast. The Yin and the Yang, whereas “Chemosynthesis” is on Metros the Poet has lived, loved and been skeptical of. “Benthos” keeps one going for its diversity. Ending Section of “Ripraps” keep our shores secure despite Bay Reclamations as raw power of free thoughts and free verse prevails throughout. A pensive mood throughout the book coalesces into an interplay of People and their surroundings.
