Detlev: this book
A collection of occurrences that happened and didn’t happen to the author during 1998 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The secret life of reptiles is not discussed in this book, but it may appear in other books.
This book talks about rotten actions and behaviour of people who perhaps mean well but nothing works for them, except for the time that keeps on moving forward.
The story is about Detlev, a not-too-sophisticated man, that is determined to walk the shady and dark path all the way to global success. Sarah, his beloved partner, plays a similar game, and the fact that she was born in Saudi Arabia is perfectly fine with Detlev. He will do anything for her. He would even convert to Islam. In response to his deep feelings, she keeps on feeling nothing. Not the pain caused by Karl’s soldiers, and not the pain of having a child living very far, who knows where.
Yossi Omessi: the author
Born in Haifa, Israel, some sixty plus years ago. Toured the world and lived in quite many places, as well as in Israel. Omessi has long and short stories like there’s no tomorrow, this book included.
