Mrinalini Gupta has her third run in with murder amidst a picturesque hill town in the Himalayas. Suspicious deaths in an academic institute are rare and unexpected and the answers seem shrouded in the mists that wrap the mountains. Mrinalini is not in her familiar surroundings and is not sure who is friend and who, foe. She has with her, her wits, her crutch, some surprising allies and some old faithful.
For those who have not yet met her, Mrinalini, opted for early retirement after years of corporate life and moved back home, to Santiniketan – Rabindranath Tagore’s university town in India. Ironically, her first encounter with murder was at this ‘abode of peace’. For those who already know her, hope you enjoy this as much as you did her last adventures.
This book falls within the genre of ‘Cosy Mysteries’. A perfect read during a lazy day or a lockdown – depending on the times you live in.
