“Noishyobder Shobdo” (Sound of Silence) is not a book of Poems in true Sense, But it is an integration of Story, Conversation and poems to bring into focus the underlying thoughts literally and pictorially.
Here appears and re-appears time and again the faces of crying child, neglected nature, deserted girls, Rudderless Teenagers, helpless Senior citizens and last but not the least the backbone less society rapturned by the brutalized environment. The rudiments of write-up material are assimilated from on looking Scenarios of current vitiated world.
It is not a book for thoughtless minds. So it is not fantasy but ideas interwoven with agony and ecstasy. It unfolds how desperation, insecurities looming large on common people’s life. It depicts picture – how modernity with Self-Centered attitude take center stage in society.
Time will only say whether the thought encrypted here has had any impact on its readers.
About the author
The author has a rare combination of high level of academic excellence together with vast managerial experience. He is B E (Mech)-Shibpur, Operations Research dip (ISI), MBA (IISWBM) together with 40 years of techno-managerial experience in steel plant, coal & copper Mines and Airlines, During this phase he was exposed to business barons, literate personality, silver screen Stars, Media tycoon and many a down trodden Ones. Collecting pebbles from this Vast human sea – he has attempted here to unfold those untold stories through Poems, Often taking help of Stories, Conversation and songs. He has pointed fingers to society for building insecurities at each stage of life of Common people.
A journey to the world has saddened him quite often and made loner, time in and time out. The pomes reveal them with intensity.
Although the author promised not to cry but he bore pains in mid night when no body is around – his sobbing gets transformed to “Sound of Silence” (Noishyobder Shobdo).
