This is a collection of poems written on love and heartache, on the beauty of nature and navigating the darkest nights, on childhood memories and putting loved ones to rest, on political ironies and social inequities, of feminism and abiding friendships. The book – divided into three sections, namely, Book 1: Race Me to the Raindrops; Book 2: The Misfit Mind and Other Tales; and Book 3: Orchids on Our Mango Tree – will have something for each reader and for every mood. The poems can be read in a sequence or at random, but they will speak to the reader for each verse is written with a deep honesty and emotional fearlessness.
