Rehmat Ali was born in Mumbai, India, to Ramzu Shaikh and Fatma bi Shaikh. His father is a paper box maker and mother is a housewife. Both are from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He learned English Literature, Philosophy and History. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Arts from Mumbai University. He is a bilingual writer, writing in both Hindi and English efficiently. He is writing since the age of 16. He is very fond of painting since early childhood and won many awards and appreciation during his school and college time.

His first book “Rainbows of Her Memories” was successfully published on December, 2013 through Power Publishers and well received. It is based on an imaginary girl from an imagination world far from this materialistic globe. Pure love and heavenly gifted beauties are such qualities she carries which enforces the Poet to write few hundred poetries on her eternal youth and glamour.

Apart from writing he is a Hospitality Professional and spent more than 10 years in the industry. He had worked abroad as well as in India in most reputed organisations. He is keenly interested in travelling and visited many countries around the world while working in a cruise ship. He had also visited the two Holy Mosques of Muslims in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia.
