By profession, Mr. Ashim Kumar Chakraborty is an Engineer. During his professional career, he has served in many private companies in India and abroad, out of which, he has served for a few years in renowned Aluminium Extrusion Companies in India and abroad. He has written this HANDBOOK ON ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION PROCESS (FOR SHOP-FLOOR ENGINEERS AND SUPERVISORS) to share his knowledge & experience with Shop-floor Engineers and Supervisors.

Apart from academic & technical interests, he has a devotion to literature. He has written a few novels in Bengali and English language.

The author has also highlighted the plant-oriented activities in the Foundry, Casting, Homogenizing, and Extrusion process. He has also indicated the necessity of Cost control measures, Training, and Project activities.
