Shukno Patar Kotha is poet’s fifth Bengali book of poem apart from ‘’ Ádate with Madam Verse’’ an English poetry book published earlier. Her recent published books are Nari Tumi ke & Advuture Bengali poetry. Santwana is known for her emotionalpoetry and direct connect with her readers. Her poetry is both simple and bold making readers, both young and old   taking up her poetry book with ease . In Shukno Patar Kotha, the poet dwells much on her past memories as also with her penchant for searching the source of her ‘being’.

Ms Santwana Chatterjee worked with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1968 to 2008. She has several published book at her credit both in English and Bengali. Quite a few of her poems and stories have been published by renowned periodicals and daily’s. She is more of a poet than a story teller but writing runs in her family as she is the youngest grandson of Late Sunayani Devi, sister of Abanindranath Thakur, neice of Rabindranath Thakur
